- Academy of Music in Ljubljana: degree in composition and music theory (2002, class of Prof. Marko Mihevc),

- Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber, Dresden: post-graduate course in instrumental and electro-acoustic composition (class of Prof. Lothar Voigtländer),

- master class in composition Ticino Musica , Ascona, Switzerland (2001 and 2002, class of Prof. Michael Jarrell).

CAREER:

- artistic adviser and organizer at the Young Composers' Club, a section of the Society of Slovene Composers (since 2000).

AWARDS AND PRIZES:

- Pre¹eren Prize for best students of the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, and Pre¹eren Prize of the University of Ljubljana (for exceptional achievements in the field of composition), 2001,

- Awards of the Percussion Studio of the Academy of Music in Ljubljana (for Fanfares for Percussion), 2003.

WORKS:

The main part of his output was written during the four years of his studies in Ljubljana. His creative work covers the field of chamber, vocal and symphonic music. In 2000, his chamber compositions were performed in 17 concerts all over Slovenia. From 1999 onwards, several of his symphonic works were performed by the Maribor Philharmonic, the Symphony Orchestra of Slovene Radio and Television, and the Slovene Philharmonic, with Simon Robinson, Lior Shambadal and Marko Letonja conducting.

His composition "Zrelo je ¾ito" - The Corn is Ripe was part of the celebrations in honour of the Slovene National Day in 1999.

ORCHESTRAL WORKS:

Overture Torklja (1999), Burlesque (2000), Musica da camera for 19 musicians (2001), Three Songs for soprano and symphony orchestra on texts by Federico Garcia Lorca: I. Chopo muerto (2002).

CHORAL WORKS:

Three Short Pieces for mixed choir (1998-2000), Ave Maria for female choir (2000), O magnum mysterium for mixed choir (2001).

CHAMBER MUSIC:

Duo for clarinet and violin (1998), String Quartet No. 1 (1998), Woodwind Quintet In stile orientale (1998), "Britev" - The Razor for viola and clarinet (1998), Space echoes for five percussionists, synthesizer, flute and gong (1999), Tango for flute and piano (2000), Divertimento for nine musicians (2000), Fanfares (2000), Three Bagatelles for woodwind trio (2000), Fanfares for four percussionists (2001), Cloop for alto flute, musical saw and percussion (2001), Kontra for eight musicians (2002).

MUSIC FOR SOLO INSTRUMENTS:

"Osamljenost" - Loneliness for violoncello solo (1997), Clarinettissimo for clarinet solo (2002), Cadenza per corno (2002).

PIANO AND ORGAN WORKS:

"Sanje ljubezni" - Love Dreams for piano (1996), Phanthasie for piano (1996), Fugue for organ (1996).

ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC MUSIC:

Pianofonics for piano and interactive electro-acoustic sounds (2002).
